A single marketer doing the work of a dozen or so marketing experts, simply by utilizing AI, Agents, and workflow automations.
Is this the future of marketing?
Probably there is some truth there, but it’s not the whole story.
We should all utilize AI in our workflows to improve productivity, but artificial intelligence is a tool requiring an experienced driver behind the wheel.
But … let’s take a step back and see what’s that all about?
What is Vibe Marketing?
Vibe marketing is a single marketer, founder, or small team utilizing AI to automate and scale marketing which would require multiple specialists.
This would be done with a combination of:
Artificial Intelligence Tools
AI Agents
Workflow automation tools
One Vibe Marketer acts as whole Marketing Team?
A vibe marketer could single-handedly deliver the work previously needed by copywriters, designers, video editors, data analysis, SEOs, brand specialists, social media and more!
How it all got started?
It seems like Greg Isenberg was the first to coin the term Vibe Marketing, borrowing some of the hype of Vibe Coding from the dev community.
Content marketing is at a crossroads*
Content marketing has changed a lot in the past couple of years.
Two main reasons for this:
1. AI coming into the mainstream, and
2. The evolution of the search engine landscape.
Most marketers are lost in the Amazon River without a compass in this complicated environment.
And that’s okay because all these changes are too much to handle and keep up with.

VC Funding is going to AI Tools for Vibe Marketing?
One of the main reasons VC funding is salivating over the Vibe Coding/Marketing trends is that 50% of VC money to marketing, at least according to an article on Forbes.
I would argue that most of the money is going towards marketing expenses like:
Sponsorships
Ads
Tools
PR
And, not really to the marketing salaries.
However, Venture Capitalist firms would love to reduce ANY team to a fraction of what it is right now.
And, this trend is hitting marketing, dev, support, sales, anything that can be potentially automated is a potential target.
Funding the Technology Behind it
This is partly why VCs are throwing tons of money into AI & AI Agents.
The expectation is that these new companies will prove to be the next backbone of the startup & business ecosystem, supporting smaller teams with bigger budgets for automation tools in the future.
The Reality of Vibe Marketing
Generative AI, Agents, and all the tools right now are real productivity boosters. But, they are not here to replace real, deep expertise.
They are here to cut down on mediocre and lazy work.
Expertise is Important
An expert using AI as if leading a team of juniors can do exemplary work. They can get the job done, edit, refine, and improve, and deliver incredible results.
If you don't have a sense for design, your AI designs will suck.
If you don't know coding, your code will be unusable and full of bugs.
If you don't know SEO, you will be working on meaningless tasks and end up with a penalty.
True Perspective & Expectations
Set your expectations correctly.
Going full on "one marketer can replace the whole department" might work for early-stage startups with limited funding, but trying to implement this into complex organizations can easily backfire.
Consider "vibe marketing" as an exemplary tool for productivity gains, and getting more done with less.
Do not go into it with the idea of "replacing" or "firing" your whole team.
Do not thing a single "expert" in AI agents will be a great marketer who will get your startup off the ground.
Are Marketing Jobs in Danger by Vibe Marketing?
Probably yes.
Seniors, experts, and talented people will be enabled to do more. You give the right tools to an expert copywriter and will be able to get their work x10.
You get a designer with a great visual sense, and they can get wondrous creations, ads, banners, maybe even videos done.
The trap of mediocrity
Who will be replaced by Vibe marketing will be:
Juniors
Some mid-seniors
Lazy marketers
Sloppy workers
Very late adopters (we are still at the early stages though)
Mediocre, lazy, and sloppy work is the first to be replaced by AIs.
Tools for Vibe Marketing
Are you looking to join the ranks of Vibe Marketers to keep your job?
Whether your answer is Yes or No, upskilling is a constant battle to stay relevant. If you are unsure where to start, here is a list of automation & AI tools that will help you stay competitive and more productive in the years to come:
Automation Tools
In my opinion, AI works as a more advanced layer of original automation tools, and those are many times in the heart of any vibe marketing initiative. Again, in my personal experience, those have been used for years by smart marketers, solopreneurs, and tech people to automate processes, but have been taken a step up since AI has been maturing the past few years:
Generative AI (ChatBots)
Many of the basic capabilities come from AI chatbots and underlying models, which we are already too familiar:
AI Agents
While, the previous are taken a step up with additional capabilities to automate full tasks, interact with browsers or other environment, and not just generating a predictive text, but a predictive, pre-determined action:
Video AIs
While, from creating short to long video advertisements, fake UGC review content, to splitting a video podcast into shorts & adding subtitles, the following AI-based tools are taking days of work into mere minutes or hours:
Vibe Coding Tools
Even marketers can code, if they have a basic understanding around coding with tools that can take an idea into reality with vibe coding platforms (or AI coding agents):
Thanks for the shout, Nick! Great post. 🙏
